민족일보의 창간을 축하한다. 이 진보언론의 창간은 조용수의 희생을 기리며 코리아의 진보적관점에 표하는 경의이다. 이 창간은 또한 코리아의 21세기를 바라보는 시각에 다시 생기를 불어넣을 훌륭한 시도이다.

진보적이고 평등하며 민주적인 코리아는 아시아에서 새롭고 진보적인 관점을 형성하는데 중요한 역할을 할 것이며 전세계에서 신자유주의적, 자본주의 관점에 기초한 불공평한 세계질서에 맞서 대안을 모색하려는 모든 진보민주세력을 강화하는데 기여할 것이다. 이 언론의 성공을 진심으로 기원한다.

I applaud the launch of the journal Minzokilbo. The launch of this progressive journal is an honour to the memory of Cho Yong-soo’s sacrifice and vision of a progressive Korea. It is also a laudable attempt to reenergise that vision in the context of 21st century Korea. 

A progressive, egalitarian and democratic Korea will play a critical role in shaping a new and progessive vision in Asia and would contribute to strengthening the progressive and democratic forces all over the world that are trying to build an alternative to the unjust global order based on the neo-liberal capitalist perspective. I send my best wishes for the success of this journal.
