“오늘날과 미래의 투쟁을 연결짓는 중요한 출발”

21세기가 시작되면서 최근 자본주의의 세계적인 팽창과 현자본주의의 위기는 점점더 전세계 계급분화를 촉진하고 있다. 이런 때에 노동자들의 이익을 위한 새로운 국제언론은 매우 가치있는 시도이다.

나는 조용수라는 사람을 잘 몰랐지만 그는 인간을 존중하는 정치적견해, 부패에 대항하며 노동자들의 권리와 조국분단의 평화적 해결을 추구하는 진보적견해로 인해 처형당한 사람으로 모든 진보주의자들의 정치적존경을 얻게 됐다.

이런 점에서 민족일보는 새로운 미디어기술만이 아니라 참신하며 진보적이고 민주적인 정치토론과 오늘날과 미래의 투쟁을 연결짓는 중요한 출발점이다.

“An important launch, linking up strivings of today and tomorrow”

In the beginning of the 21st century, the recent global expansion of capitalism and its current crisis are increasing the salience of class worldwide. A new international journal devoted to workers’ interests and workers’ rights is therefore a laudable initiative.

I did not know Cho Yong-soo, but someone who was executed for his political views deserves the human respect of all, and someone who was killed for his progressive views against corruption, for workers’ rights, and for a peaceful solution to national division has earned the political respect of all progressives.

In this sense, Minzokilbo is an important launch, linking up not only with new media technology but also, as far as I understand, with the new radical, democratic political discussion and strivings of today and tomorrow.
